Forest Department plants trees at Acres Wild

   Posted by: admin   in Agriculture

Acres Wild Farm was chosen by Forest Department to plant 5000 shola trees. This is part of a campaign to plant 5 lakh trees on the Chief Ministers birthday. Here you can see the local counselors helping us plant the trees. The forest department gave us the 2 year old saplings free of cost of course. Now the tough part is to ensure that they don’t become easy fodder for the bison and our cows ๐Ÿ™‚

Great beginnings. We would be glad to host tree plantings on our farm too. How / what criteria determined tree planting at your site?

Hi Savera Farms. Thanks for the offer on tree planting. We are presently taking whatever we can get from the forest department as it is free and also they supply tree guards too. That is much needed here with all the animals around. Apart from that we are trying out just about any kind of tree that will grow here.
