And the answer is… Pied Bush Chat!

Ok sometime back I had posed the question – “What bird is this?”.  As we could not identify this bird.  From all the responses that you can see below, I am convinced that it is a Pied Bush Chat.

Hi Kalpesh
Not sure which bird you meant. I went to the link you gave but it does not mention any particular bird. Can you be more specific and mention the name and then I could search on Google images and cross check.

It looks like a Nilgiri Verditer Flycatcher. Was it the size of a sparrow? The description says the bird is indigo blue. But sometimes the colour is hard to fix because of the light and sometimes there are variations.

Its a Pied Bush Chat (male). Saxicola caprata.
