Brahmini Kite

Started my collection of bird photos at Acres Wild by getting this photo of a Brahmini Kite that was hanging around our pond in the hope of getting some fish… I think. Later when I went closer to the pond for a better photo it sensed some danger and flew away circling in widely and then disappearing over the hill.
Have to be more subtle next time.

Lovely pics. You took this with an SLR or an automatic?

I took the photos with a Canon PowerShot S3 IS. This is not an SLR camera. 6 megapixels. I may have gone into Digital Zoom for these bird photos but luckily the clarity is still there.
